I am a Mother who wanted my boys to wear real moccasins. I am a healer, who knows the power of own my heart and hands. And I am a lover of the earth and natural energies that give and sustain my life.

After years of practicing Energy Medicine, of traveling and supporting native cultures, and finally making shoes for my boys, I bring you these. My own line of sustainably sourced, and responsibly made, life-giving boots and shoes. Each one is meticulously crafted, made to order, from start to finish with love and reverence.
May each of your steps be blessed.

After completing my undergraduate degree at Stanford University in Literature and Latin American Studies, I went to Guatemala to apprentice in a medicinal plant garden with a Mayan medicine woman. Only wetting my appetite to “know” more about what I call Earth Medicine, I continued my studies in Ayurveda with David Frawley, simultaneously completing my pre-med requirements at George Washington University in DC. Once complete, I moved to New Mexico for a course in Massage and Polarity at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. There, my beloved teacher Avi Khadir introduced me to Visionary Cranial Work from the Milne School. I went on to continue my craniosacral studies at the Colorado School for Energy Studies and become part of the school of Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioners. At the same time, I expanded my understanding of the Energy Body with Damaris Jarboux at the Center Place in a 3 year course called Qigong healing touch. It maps the body through Anthroposophic, Ayurvedic, Gnostic and Chinese schools of esoteric thought. In 2007 after the birth of my first child, I completed my graduate degree in Health and Healing at Saybrook University in San Francisco, with a thesis on Craniosacral therapy for infertility. In addition to magical shoes, I offer hands-on treatments to open the energetic fields in the human body. With real, deep contact, the body can soften. When the body softens and the spirit can enter more fully again, real magic comes into play and the complex dance of the nervous, immune, endocrine and reproductive systems comes into harmony again. You feel ease where before it was hard. Balance, where once there was imbalance. Alignment, where once there was dis-order. And the unbelievable music of your life sings again through the sacred vessel of your Earth Body.

I grew up exploring the oak-studded hills and rocky tide-pools of coastal Northern California. My bare feet found home on dusty trails, moss-covered rocks, sandy dunes. I was always kicking off my shoes!

I met Merrill when I was fifteen, wandering barefoot through the farmer’s market. Mer had a baby in one arm, a basket of handmade moccasins in the other. Her eldest son, barely six at the time, introduced me to the beautiful handmade shoes. I was smitten.

With her began my apprenticeship to leatherwork, my initiation into womanhood, the beginning of a lifelong journey as an artist and artisan. My hands, which knew oak-bark and ocean water and plant seedlings, began to craft shoes.

I continue to be in awe by the honesty this work requires; every stitch is visible, every piece of a shoe must come together just so. This work demands full presence and deep patience, every step of the way.
